Lot Maintenance

Job Description:
 

  • Unloading Freight: Safely unload goods from tractor-trailers using wheel loader, forklift, tractor, or minimal manual labor. Assist in unloading customer equipment that can not be driven.
  • Loading Freight: Load outgoing freight (pallets, attachments/parts unable to be loaded by hand). Loading customer equipment that cannot be driven.
  • Product Handling: Inspect, sort, and count incoming inventory, ensuring accurate quantities and checking for damage. Transport products to designated storage areas, stack them securely, and maintain an organized lot.
  • Equipment Operation: Comfortable operating material handling equipment like forklifts, wheel loaders, skid steers.
  • Documentation: Record Bill of Ladings, update inventory, note discrepancies, and tag new equipment with stock numbers.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Follow all safety procedures, keep work areas clean, and report any hazards or equipment issues.
  • Equipment Assembly: Uncrate, assemble, install wheels, connect wiring harnesses, perform PDI, and set up equipment according to specifications. This task to be performed when lot duties are slower.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in various environments (outdoors, shop environment).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Cleanliness of work space and work equipment.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse/inventory operations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating equipment.
  • Basic tools required for this position. (Impact, sockets, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)

Ideal employee will be someone that works well without a set daily routine, as time of year does impact what role you will perform on a day-to-day basis. Someone who is quick on their feet, willing to learn, and can operate equipment is necessary.
